Datadog Observability Breakfast

“With complexity comes fragility – more things can go wrong” – Rod Pyle, space historian

This is why we believe simplicity is essential for building great software. It is the result of engineers removing complexity in every step. This starts with how we write the first line of code. And ends with the final delivery.

Last week, Datadog invited us to their “Observability Breakfast” in Stuttgart in the MHP Arena.

One of our System Engineering Leads held a talk about how we deliver a project that seems to be mission impossible – it’s actually one of the biggest software projects in Europe – on time, on budget, on target and on quality.

We shared three of our success elements – simplicity, uniformity and continuity. They are the bedrock of our decision making.
