The Hamburger Tafel e.V.

For us as a company, it’s important to support a cause that’s close to our hearts every year.

Just as important to us is making sure that every donation actually reaches the people who need it most.

That’s why, in 2025, we donated €10,000 to the Hamburger Tafel.

The Hamburger Tafel e.V. relies on more than 120 volunteers who contribute around 16,000 hours of their time each year. At the same time, the organisation manages the entire administrative and logistical process, from collecting food and storing it to distributing it to social institutions across Hamburg.

They truly impact the life of so many people here every day - and a lot of that through volunteers. We love that!

So we thought, a donation is not enough. We wanted to go one step further and also become part of the process ourselves.

So in June 2026, 12 freiheit.com team members joined the warehouse teams on different days to support the work behind the scenes.

From sorting groceries to loading trucks, our teams experienced the entire process firsthand. Hands-on, end-to-end - just as we like to work.

A big thank you to the Hamburger Tafel for the incredible work they do every day.

We hope to be back and lend a hand again in the future.
